KCT is actively seeking a few adults to team up to run Kids Coming Together.
No experience needed – we will train you on everything! Less than FIVE hours a week !
The leadership team for Kids Coming Together is a volunteer position and you would be making a HUGE positive impact on the youth and high school kids in our area. Currently we focus on Sammamish but we have interest in spreading to Kirkland, Issaquah and Redmond next. Families in Snoqualmie valley and Duval have also expressed an interest in bring Kids Coming Together to their area. Adults with an interest in any of these communities are welcome to join our leadership team.
We are hoping to find a team of 3 or 4 adults to join the leadership team. You can join with a friend or we will put together a group.
Please know that without a few adults stepping in, this program will shut down. The current volunteer leader has been doing this alone since the start of Kids Coming Together and she can no longer continue in this role. She will be able to stay and assist a new leadership team through the transition.
Please take the time to read our website to learn what KCT is all about and what activities we do. The leadership team would be responsible for making sure a screened adult is available at each event. The youth board members (high school students) do most of the work but an adult needs to help and guide them with the following duties:
Running the weekly youth board meeting (new leadership can set the day and time)
Adding events to the website
Communicating with parents before each event
Reviewing and recruiting for next years Youth Board Members
Speaking at local events
Communicating with the LWSF
Again…the Youth Board Members do much of the work, the Leadership team needs to help them and guide them and be ready to step in if needed.
