We're looking forward to seeing you soon!

Getting Started with Kids Coming Together

KCT offers amazing opportunities to work and play with kids in grades 3-8, collaborate with high school students from several local schools, hone your leadership skills, and earn community service hours.

How big is the commitment?

Youth events are typically held weekly, and high school volunteers are welcome to attend one, two, or as many as you'd like, whenever they fit into your schedule. Keep in mind that all HS Volunteers must arrive 30 minutes early for events to help with setup.

While we don't require a long-term commitment, it's important to understand that, when you register for an event, you have agreed to attend that event - so please only sign up if you know you can be there!

How do I sign up?

It's super easy. Just fill out and submit the Volunteer Agreement form below, and then head on over to our event page to choose your first event! Click on the orange REGISTER NOW button, then follow the instructions to sign up.

Please note - you must now also register for each individual event by clicking the orange REGISTER NOW button on the event page. You only need to fill out this agreement form before your first event.

If there aren't any events that work with your schedule, keep checking back - and be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Instagram for updates.

Responsibility Agreement*
I understand that KCT is counting on me to help lead any event at which I volunteer. I will always arrive 30 minutes before the event starts to help setup and to learn my responsibilities. I understand that my role at KCT events is to be a leader and to provide a positive atmosphere for these kids and any community partners involved. I understand that the goals are: A) to help these kids bond with new friends, B) to make these kids feel appreciated for their community service volunteering, C) achieve the goal of the event and D) make sure the kids HAVE FUN.
I agree to this assumption of risk, release and waiver of liability, indemnity, and covenant not to sue (“Agreement”) with Lake Washington Schools Foundation, a non-profit corporation in the State of Washington (“Foundation”) and Kids Coming Together (“KCT”). I am a high school student who wants to participate in a community service event organized by KCT (“Activity”). I acknowledge participation in this Activity is elective and voluntary. In consideration for my participation in the Activity, I understand and agree as follows - I, individually and on behalf of my heirs, successors, assigns, and personal representatives, hereby release, waive, indemnify, hold harmless, and covenant not to sue the Foundation, its trustees, employees, agents, officers, and representatives and KCT, its employees, agents, officers, representatives, and volunteers (“Releasees”), from and against any and all liability arising out of any rights I may have for damages, losses, or injuries I may sustain to my person or property arising out of or in any way connected with their participation in the Activity or based on any rights a third party may have for harm caused by myself arising out of or in any connected with my participation in the Activity, except if damage, loss, or injury is directly caused by the gross negligence or willful wanton misconduct of the Releasees. I understand the Foundation requires participants to follow safety rules and instructions. I understand that my participation in the Activity presents certain dangers, hazards, and inherent risks. I attest I am aware of the dangers and risks that may be directly or inherently involved in my participation in the Activity. I assume all responsibility and risk arising from or incidental to my participation in the Activity, including all dangers and risks of accidents, illness, allergic reaction property damage, bodily injury, and other dangers and risks to me or my property. I agree that Washington law governs this Agreement. Should any clause in this document conflict with Washington law, only that clause will be void and rest of this document shall stay in full force and effect. I HAVE READ THIS ENTIRE ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, INDEMNITY, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE. I FULLY UNDERSTAND THE AGREEMENT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND ITS TERMS AND CONDITIONS. I INTEND FOR THIS AGREEMENT TO BE VALID AND BINDING.
