Help Setup Camp S’More at Lake Sammamish State Park

Get ready for an afternoon of teamwork, outdoor adventure, and community impact! We’re partnering with our friends at Lake Sammamish State Park to support Camp S’More, the signature family camping event hosted by the FLSSP.

KCT Kids and Teen volunteers will help prepare the event by setting up base camp, organizing supplies, and preparing wagons for luggage transport. Volunteers will also assist in setting up campsites for five families sponsored by the Issaquah Food Bank. This is a great opportunity to learn practical outdoor skills, including how to pitch tents and set up a campsite, while helping families enjoy a memorable camping experience.

Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather, wear comfortable shoes that are NOT sandals, and bring a water bottle.

Everyone who volunteers at this event with KCT is then welcome to return later in the afternoon (4pm) for a presentation from Cougar Mountain Zoo about the animals of the park.

Families are also invited to register to spend the night with Camp S’More at the Friends of Lake Sammamish Website.

Note that all materials for this event will be provided by Kids Coming Together and our partners unless otherwise specified.

Who Can Attend

This event is for kids in grades 3-8 and leaders in grades 9-12.

Volunteer Opportunity

All students in grades 3 – 12 can earn community service hours at our events. High School Students must arrive 30 minutes before the event start time to help with setup and learn about the event.

Events are available to book!

Click on the orange Register Now button to see how many spaces are available and select what age group you are registering for. Then click NEXT and fill out the form. Make sure to fill out the registration with the student’s name – there will be a place for the parent’s information as well.
