Paint Rocks and Make Cards for Seniors
Event description & details
Everywhere we go kids love when we bring out our paint pens and rocks. The creativity is so much fun to watch as the kids express themselves. At this event, our KCT high school leaders & kids will spend time talking about the seniors in their lives, discussing how the older generations have contributed to creating who we are today. While doing this they will create colorful rock mementos and cards to be given to Seniors at a local Care facility. Note that this event is earlier than our usual Kids Coming Together events.
All materials for this event will be provided by Kids Coming Together unless otherwise specified.
Event Highlights
- Sharing stories and learning about grandparents & older neighbors in our community.
- Having fun painting fireworks and flags on rocks.
- Write a short message to brighten up the day of someone who might not usually chat with children.
Who Can Attend
This event is for kids in grades 3-8 and leaders in grades 9-12.
Volunteer Opportunity
All students in grades 3 – 12 can earn community service hours! High School Students must arrive 30 minutes before the event start time to help with setup and learn about the event.
HOW TO SIGN UP
Events are available to book!
Click on the orange Register Now button to see how many spaces are available and select what age group you are registering for. Then click NEXT and fill out the form. Make sure to fill out the registration with the student’s name – there will be a place for the parent’s information as well.
KCT events are always FREE!
