A Special Message from the KCT Youth Board Fundraising Team
We’re so excited to announce that TogetherFest is back — and bigger than ever! We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to help bring this event to life and support the programs we care so much about at Kids Coming Together.
What is TogetherFest?
TogetherFest is our annual community celebration — a time to gather with friends, family, and neighbors to reflect on the past year, celebrate our impact, and enjoy some of the best KCT activities all in one place.
It’s also the only KCT event where parents and younger siblings (under 3rd grade) are invited to join in the fun! We love seeing families experience the magic of our service-based events together.
When and Where is TogetherFest?
Saturday, June 7 from 10:00 AM – Noon
Beaver Lake Lodge in Sammamish
Who Should Come?
Everyone is welcome at TogetherFest! Whether you’re a current KCT volunteer, a longtime supporter, or just curious about what we do — we’d love to see you there. While all ages are invited, we want to give a heads-up that most activities are designed for elementary through high school students. That said, we promise there will be plenty of fun for grown-ups and little siblings too!
What to Expect
You can look forward to:
A chance to meet the KCT Youth Board and the adults who support our programs
Opportunities to mingle with our community sponsors and learn how they support youth-led service
A behind-the-scenes look at KCT’s mission, impact, and how you can support our goals
Hands-On Service Activities
The service projects we perform at our events are at the heart of Kids Coming Together. This year’s TogetherFest features a lineup of some of our most popular activities!
Here’s what we’ll be working on together:
🐶 Braiding dog pull toys from old t-shirts to benefit the Humane Society
📚 Decorating bookmarks for Joy of Reading
🎉 Weaving bracelets to include in goodie bags for Birthday Dreams
🎒 Decorating tote bags that will be filled with school supplies in the fall and donated to YWCA Family Village
🧱 Building LEGO structures for KidVantage to distribute to children in need
💌 Designing greeting cards to bring joy to individuals experiencing homelessness, in support of The Giving Hope Project
These projects are a great way to get involved, give back, and see the power of community in action.
Don’t Forget to RSVP!
To help us plan, we ask that everyone RSVP ahead of time. This event is not a drop-off event — all kids must be accompanied by an adult who will stay and participate with them.
We can’t wait to celebrate TogetherFest with you. Whether you’re building with Legos, meeting new friends, or just soaking in the energy — this day is about what we can do when we come together.
See you there!
Building relationships through community service
Kids Coming Together (KCT) is a volunteer-led nonprofit that brings kids and teens together to build friendships and strengthen our community through service. At a time when young people face increasing social isolation, KCT creates safe, welcoming spaces for youth in grades 3–8 to practice social skills, build confidence, and connect with others while giving back. Events are led by high school student volunteers, who gain leadership experience and earn service hours as they guide and mentor younger participants.
