A New Youth Board Position

This year, Kids Coming Together is excited to announce the addition of a new position on our Youth Board! We’re thrilled to announce that Varsha Ganesh has joined our team to take on the role of Blog Editor.

Our blog has always been a way to share important updates about KCT, but with Varsha leading the effort, we’ll now be posting more regularly and featuring conversations and reflections from our events, meetings, and what is going on in the broader KCT community.

As Blog Editor, Varsha will share stories that highlight all the different sides of KCT — from the joy of introducing 9-year-olds to the fun of community service, to the challenges teens face in balancing school, family, and volunteering. She’ll also be inviting guest contributors, including Youth Board members, KCT Kids, Board Directors, and Community Sponsors to write for the blog.

We Want to Hear From You

If you have a story or idea that you think the Kids Coming Together community would enjoy, reach out to Varsha – she’d love to hear from you!

Email her at editor@kidscomingtogether.org or text her at 425-753-2861 < Make sure to start each text with the words, Blog Editor.

Building relationships through community service

Kids Coming Together (KCT) is a volunteer-led nonprofit that brings kids and teens together to build friendships and strengthen our community through service. At a time when young people face increasing social isolation, KCT creates safe, welcoming spaces for youth in grades 3–8 to practice social skills, build confidence, and connect with others while giving back. Events are led by high school student volunteers, who gain leadership experience and earn service hours as they guide and mentor younger participants.
